My love of counseling came from growing up in a culture that does not often see mental health as real or even necessary. I chose this route so that I can help make a difference not only in my community, but hopefully worldwide. Mental Health is real and Mental health matters. I have my Bachelors in Psychology and a minor in criminal justice from the University of Louisiana of Lafayette. I am currently working to obtain my Masters in clinical mental health counseling. I'm also a QPR certified suicide prevention gatekeeper. When it comes to a theoretical framework, I do not have one particular that I work from. I am an integrative counselor meaning I pull a little bit from everything, so that I can be multifaceted. I counsel with the intention of turning no client away and leaving no client behind. You may not be able to change the entire world but you can change YOUR world. All minds matter, all issues matter, all people matter. -Ase
